- Turmeric adds color and health benefits but has a mild earthy taste — balance it with lemon juice.
- Always pat the salmon dry before seasoning — this helps the turmeric stick and makes the outside crispier.
- Check salmon at 10 minutes; it should flake easily with a fork.
Ingredients
- Salmon fillet: 2 pcs (about 150–180 g each)
1 tsp Olive oil
- Salt: to taste
1/2 tsp Black pepper: ½ tsp
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Lemon juice
3 cups Kale (chopped)
cups Apple: 1 pc, diced (red apple works best)
2 tbsp Black olives sliced
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 tbsp Lemon juice
- Salt & black pepper: to taste
Steps to Make Air Fryer Turmeric Salmon with Kale & Apple Salad
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Pat the salmon fillets dry, brush lightly with olive oil, and season with salt, black pepper, and turmeric. Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin side down if it has skin, and cook for 10–12 minutes until golden and cooked through. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice.
- While the salmon is cooking, prepare the salad. Place chopped kale in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, and massage gently for 1–2 minutes until softened. Add diced apple and sliced olives, season with salt and black pepper, then toss lightly.
- Serve the turmeric salmon hot alongside the kale and apple salad.
