Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of gochujang (Korean chili paste).
  • Pair it with kimchi or pickled radish for the classic Korean side-dish touch.

Ingredients

200 g Cooked multigrain rice (brown rice, barley, quinoa mix): 1 bowl
- Egg 1 pcs
1 tsp Soy sauce
1/2 tsp Sesame oil
1/2 tsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Green onion (chopped)

Steps to Make Classic Gyeran-bap

  1. Scoop a bowl of warm multigrain rice into a serving bowl. In a small pan, fry the egg sunny-side up (or your preferred style).
  2. Place the fried egg gently on top of the multigrain rice. Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil, Sprinkle with sesame seeds, and green onion.
  3. Before eating, mix everything together so the yolk, soy sauce, and sesame oil coat the grains evenly. Enjoy hot.
